Joseph Bendel, Esq.
Joseph brings over a decade of legal experience to his practice, assisting clients as they navigate complex and often intimidating legal systems. He approaches each day with a clear purpose: to help clients find practical solutions to challenging legal issues. In moments when uncertainty, stress, or confusion take hold, Joseph is committed to providing clarity, steady guidance, and support at every stage.
Joseph began his legal career serving the South Florida community through the University of Miami School of Law. As a member of the Health and Elder Law Clinic (now the Health Law Clinic), he represented individuals who could not otherwise afford legal counsel, assisting with Social Security administrative matters and immigration-related issues. This early experience shaped his client-centered approach and reinforced the importance of accessibility and advocacy.
He continued his commitment to service as a member of the Investor Rights Clinic, where he advocated for members of the investment community in disputes involving their brokers. Joseph later expanded his legal expertise by earning a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from the University of Miami School of Law, graduating cum laude. This background allows him to approach legal matters with a broader understanding of financial, regulatory, and strategic considerations.
Joseph has gained extensive experience in estate planning and civil litigation, representing clients in both state and federal courts. He is qualified to appear before the Southern and Middle District Courts of Florida. He founded Bendel Law with the mission of providing accessible, thoughtful legal services and helping clients move forward with greater clarity and peace of mind. His focus is always on strategic solutions and ensuring that clients leave his office better off than when they arrived.
Originally from Canada, Joseph is an avid ice hockey player and has had the opportunity to share the ice with current and former NHL players during his time in South Florida. He enjoys the outdoors and the challenges it brings, including summiting Mt. Shuksan (9,131 ft) in Washington State in 2015. Before becoming a lawyer, Joseph worked as an Emergency Medical Technician and a teacher. Above all, he values time spent with his wife, Carolina, and their four children.
